Powered by METAXA and the characterful depth of METAXA 12 Stars Zeus Edition, bartenders from across the globe were invited to go beyond technique and step into mythology.
The Brief: Reinterpret a classic cocktail through the lens of one of the 12 Olympian Gods, and create a cocktail that doesn’t just open the night, but awakens it.
Each creation had to carry more than flavor. A sustainable element was mandatory. Whether it be the ingredients, sourcing, method or process, this element grounded the mythology in reality, proving that modern mixology can be both imaginative and responsible.
From Zeus’ commanding presence to Dionysus’ chaotic charm, from Hermes’ speed to Athena’s precision, the competition became a stage where storytelling, sustainability, and sensory experience collided. Cocktails weren’t just served - they were performed!
The Winner: “Vision” by Maciej Knapik
The crown went to Maciej Knapik (The Trust Bar, Poland), whose cocktail Vision drew inspiration from Zeus himself. Built on METAXA 12 Stars Zeus Edition, the drink translated divine authority into a bold, layered experience - one that felt less like a serve and more like a statement. A vision of power, clarity, and elevation.

The METAXA Twelve stage wasn’t about recreating mythology - it was about rewriting it. Classic cocktails became modern rituals. Olympian gods became creative catalysts. And sustainability became part of the narrative, not an afterthought.
